TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Personal data will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. All personal information provided will be treated according to criteria and systems under the provisions of the above article.

Information collected will be used for this competition or activities relevant to the competition itself.

The intellectual property rights will remain the property of the artist. In applying for the competition the artist gives Up Against It the right to produce the design on the Up Against It wall as well as any future marketing materials for the wall competition.

In case of the wrong address, the organisation is not responsible for lost or damaged works. Entered works will not be returned to the artist.

RULES

The winning artwork will be displayed on the north facing wall of 133 Deptford High Street immediately opposite Deptford Station. Up Against It will cover all the installation and production costs of the selected artwork. Competition entries must be site-specific and conceived exclusively for Up Against It. The irregular shape of the wall should be taken into consideration when producing the artworks. Technical details and a template are available on the website, www.upagainstit.com. The project is meant to involve all artistic and creative categories and forms of expression.

All entries must be unique to this award and works entered in other competitions or exhibitions will not be accepted.

The works of all participants will be shown both on-line and during temporary exhibitions. The Up Against It technical team will work in close contact with the artists in order to collect all materials required fo the installation and will follow the production steps. Artists can enter one work only under their full name and name of college.

To enter, incorporate your design into the template provided on the website and upload it using the online application form on the website.

All entries will be voted for via the website by the general public. Those who reach the final of 20 participants will be asked to provide hi-resolution versions of their design. The winner will be chosen by the judging panel, all of whom will be professionals in the arts or visual communication industry.
