Committee
Committee is a design company that is particularly interested in the way aesthetics and visual culture impact on our lives. From advertising to fashion and built environments to art and crafts, Committee is curious about the detailed nature of people’s relationship to such visual languages.
Committee is run by Clare Page and Harry Richardson, both born in 1975. They met whilst studying Fine Art at Liverpool Art School and subsequently studied Machine Knitting and Hand Crafted Cabinet Making respectively.
They married and formed the Committee design studio in 2001, after taking on a derelict shop in Deptford, South East London, which they developed into the ‘Gallop’ studio and gallery space.
